Announcements

  • Pam Hackbart reported that all three committees (Public, Commercial Products, Instruction) contacted regarding participation in the Ebook Conference are interested.  The Instruction Committee will submit topics in January.  For the Commercial Products Committee, Susie could present on DDA vs CARLI at Northeastern Illinois University.

Discussion

  • The committee discussed and finalized the format/schedule for the Ebook Conference.  The committee is still undecided on the focus of the Panel Discussion and whether to include a Closing/Food for Thought Session.    
  • The committee discussed the need to still purchase microfilm for major new sources.  Could we have consortial purchases?  CIC?

Tasks Assigned

  • Ebook Conference
    • Lynn will contact Michael Zeoli at YBP regarding keynote.  Kerrie at EBL was mentioned as a possible alternative.
    • Pam will contact Public Services, Commercial Products, and Instruction committees with answer to their questions and finalize session topics
    • Sally will contact Anita Foster regarding participation in Panel Discussion.
  • All - Annual Project- Ebook Guide - Email Elizabeth and Pam 5 resources for ebook guide.
  • Elizabeth Will send a poll for new days for the December, January, and April meetings.
  • Elizabeth will send committee members their institutional statistics for the CARLI EBL eBook Patron Driven Acquisitions Pilot Project.
