CARLI Updates

The CARLI Fall Selection system will close on Nov 13, 2020. CARLI will work with libraries on the renewals. CARLI anticipates big cuts might be coming, but dollar wise the same as last year.

CARLI is working on a grant for OER to train the trainer to provide open education resources.

Wiley and Oxford ebook programs are up and running. There remain some issues with authentication and libraries needing to update EZProxy stanzas for off-campus access.

CARLI will have its Annual meeting on November 13.

PRODUCT PROPOSALS

Marketline Advantage - the committee decided not to move forward with this product.

Review of Committee Charge & Structure

Amanda shared comments from CARLI All Committee Chairs quarterly meeting.  Some comments were:

1. Add a committee to address troubleshooting of e-resources and authentication issues in Alma
2. Keep Commercial Products committee as is, but adjust our charge to include a focus on accessibility
3. Other committees suggested the formation of a new committee focused on discovery.

Draft proposal for a new committee structure is due by Dec 1st and the final report will be due in March 2021. Marie and Megan agreed to help Amanda draft the report.

Decisions

Minutes from the September 25, 2020 meeting were approved.

Tasks Assigned

Amanda, Marie, and Megan will begin drafting the committee's report for a new committee structure, to be reviewed by the committee at the meeting November 20.
